I am a tenured Professor of Biomedical Informatics and Vice Chair of Clinical Informatics with training in biomedical informatics, artificial intelligence (AI) and clinical neurology. My research include the application of AI to biomedicine with a specific focus on patient-specific modeling, causal discovery from biomedical data, AI-based clinical decision support, research-data warehousing, and ontology development.
The Vis Lab is in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Pittsburgh and is affiliated with the Intelligent Systems Program and the Clinical and Translational Science Institute.
